How Cardmine uses market snapshots, variants and listing data to show useful card values.
Cardmine combines structured card data with the latest available market snapshots so collectors can understand what a card is worth before they buy, sell or organize their collection.
Prices are a guide, not a guaranteed sale price. The actual price of a card can still depend on condition, language, variant, demand, seller reputation, photos, shipping cost and whether the card is raw or graded.
When a card page shows a market value, it is based on the latest pricing data Cardmine has for that specific card or variant. Marketplace listings are separate: a seller chooses a listing price, and buyers decide whether that price makes sense for the exact copy being sold.

Trading cards often have multiple versions. A normal raw copy, reverse holo, foil, alternate art, promo stamp or graded slab can all have different demand and different market values.
Cardmine keeps those distinctions visible wherever the underlying data supports them. When comparing prices, compare like with like: same card, same game, same set, same language where relevant, same variant and similar condition.
Collection values are estimates built from the latest known prices of the cards in your inventory. Missing prices are not counted, and a collection value can change when new pricing snapshots arrive.
The number is useful for tracking direction over time. It is not a payout quote, insurance valuation or guarantee that the full collection can be sold instantly for that amount.
Prices can move because of new sales, set releases, reprints, grading demand, tournament relevance, collector trends, supply changes or regional availability. Cardmine updates pricing data regularly and card pages show the freshest value available to the platform.
If a price looks wrong, check the variant first. Most surprises come from comparing a raw card with a foil, graded card or different print.
